Lemon and Garlic Lamb Chops

INGREDIENTS

Lemon and Garlic Lamb Chops

  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) grated lemon peel
  • 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. (1 mL) salt
  • 1/8 tsp. (0.5 mL) pepper
  • 4 lamb shoulder chops, about 1″ (2.5 cm) thick
  • 1/4 C. (50 mL) Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil or Crisco® Pure Canola Oil

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix flour, lemon peel, garlic powder, salt and pepper in large plastic food storage bag. Add chops. Shake to coat. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Add chops and any remaining flour mixture. Fry over medium-high heat for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until chops are golden brown, turning over once. Drain on paper towels.
