Asian Marinated Steak

INGREDIENTS

Asian Marinated Steak

  • Marinade
  • 1/2 C. (125 mL) Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 C. (75 mL) soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) black pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced or 1 tsp. (5 mL) dried garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 lb (750 g) boneless top round steak, 3/4”  to 1″ (2 cm to 2.5 cm) thick

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine marinade ingredients in a shallow baking dish. Add meat, turning to coat all surfaces.
  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
  3. Prepare grill or heat broiler.
  4. Remove meat from marinade. Discard marinade. Grill or broil to desired doneness, turning once. Let stand for 8 to 10 minutes. Cut diagonally into very thin slices.
