French Dressing

Makes: 3/4 cup (175 mL)

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp 5 mL salt
  • 1 tsp 5 mL sugar
  • 1/2 tsp 2 mL paprika
  • 1/4 tsp 1 mL dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp 0.5 mL pepper
  • 2 tbsp 30 mL vinegar
  • 2 tbsp 30 mL lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup 125 mL Crisco® Canola Oil

Preparation

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a jar or bottle with a tight fitting cover. Add vinegar, lemon juice, and oil. Shake vigorously.
  2. For variety, add 2 tablespoons (30 mL) finely chopped onion, 1/4 cup (50 mL) shredded cheddar cheese, OR 1/4 cup (50 mL) crumbled Roquefort or blue cheese.
